My name is Leeah Phillips. I am a registered nurse and the founder of Real Nurse Digest, a platform designed to cover nursing and health-related topics from a nurse’s perspective. I started my nursing career in 2020 at the height of COVID, working on a medical-surgical telemetry unit. I have since transitioned from the floor to the emergency room and now I’m a GI and Pain Management Nurse. Along my nursing journey I have experienced the highs and lows of being a bedside nurse and wished that there was a place of guidance for nurses like me.

As a first-generation black nurse, I have unique experiences and perspectives about my career as a nurse.

I created this website for myself and other nurses alike that are trying to navigate nursing. I want to help the journey of current and future nurses, from books to bedside and beyond!
